Osteorus promotes a healthy lifestyle 

As part of the Year of the Family, the Osteoporosis Patients Society Osteorus in cooperation with the Russian Osteoporosis Association (RAOP) organizes educational campaigns among young people. 

On 27.02.2024 in Yaroslavl, Osteorus volunteer Victoria Sotskova, a member of the Russian Union of Journalists, and resident Kirill Konovalov from the treatment and diagnostic Center for Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis of the N.V.Solovyov Clinical Emergency Hospital, gave an educational lecture at the Central Childrens Library named after Yaroslavl Mudry. Yaroslavl Mudry. Representatives of the center are actively involved in educational activities and hold lectures for both children and adults.

Volunteers spoke to the pupils of the 8th grade of the chemical and biological direction of school No. 58 of Yaroslavl and told about the necessity of early disease prevention, the culture of nutrition aimed at the formation of healthy bones from childhood, drew attention to the need for vigorous physical activity, the harmfulness of bad habits to health and urged to tell about the content of the lecture in the family. The children asked questions on prevention, looked at a moulage with healthy bones and damaged osteoporosis, could take home educational brochures with information and show them in the family.

Schoolchildren were interested, for example, in how long it takes for a fracture to heal, whether the body gets vitamin D through a manicure a lamp with ultraviolet light, etc. 

  For many years the activists of the Osteorus Society have had useful educational contacts with the Central Children's Library named after Yaroslav the Wise, which promotes healthy lifestyles among schoolchildren of different ages.
